After The Voice
Sawyer FREDERICKS' MAGICAL STRING OF SUCESS CONTINUES WITH NEW SINGLE

Sawyer Fredericks fans eagerly awaiting the debut album from the teen sensation need to check this out in the meantime.
The 16-year-old from Fultonville, N.Y., has a new song out.
It’s called "Forever Wrong" and it hit iTunes about a week ago.
And in typical Sawyer Fredericks’ fashion it quickly climbed to number three on the iTunes’ soundtrack singles chart.
The song is from the soundtrack that will accompany Mitch Albom’s latest novel, “The Magic Strings of Frankie Presto.”
That novel comes out Nov. 10. The full soundtrack won’t be released until Nov. 20. But two songs, including the one by Sawyer, are available now.
In a podcast with Brad Cooney, Sawyer said Mitch Albom flew to L.A. to meet with him. They decided Sawyer would write a song for the soundtrack.
“But then my mom showed him ‘Forever Wrong’ and he absolutely love it, so we went with that,” Sawyer recalled.
The debut album?
There’s no release date yet. But in the podcast, Sawyer says his team would like to have it in stores for the holidays.
Sawyer was just 15 when he won The Voice last spring. That made him the show’s youngest winner.
On his way to The Voice crown, he cracked the Top 10 on the iTunes’ singles chart with nine straight solo performances, including his debut single, “Please.” The song was written especially for him by one of his idols, Ray LaMontagne.
To keep track of Sawyer, you can follow him on Twitter or his Facebook page, where he’s promising to soon post more info about his upcoming album.

Season 8 Champion Sawyer Fredericks to Return to THE VOICE, 11/11
Season eight winner Sawyer Fredericks will make his return to "The Voice" on Wednesday, Nov. 11 to perform his new single, "Take It All."
As a member of Team Pharrell on the two-time Emmy Award-winning musical competition series, Fredericks not only won season eight but also set a record for the first artist to have 14 songs in the iTunes Top 200 singles chart in one week. His songs were downloaded nearly 1 million times on iTunes while he was on the show.
Fredericks grew up on an 88-acre farm in upstate New York. His shyness belies an intense empathy and vibrantly robust voice honed by performing weekly at a local farmers market and cutting his own independent debut locally. Upon his debut on "The Voice," he quickly enchanted audiences everywhere.

The Voice: Winner Sawyer Fredericks To Perform New Single
11/05/2015 BY MJ SANTILLI Season eight winner Sawyer Fredericks will make his return to The Voice on Wednesday, Nov. 11 to perform his new single, “Take It All.”
Over the past months, Sawyer has spent time in Los Angeles recording new tunes, and it appears he’ll be the first The Voice winner to drop a full album since season 5 winner, Tessanne Chin. Season 7 winner, Craig Wayne Boyd and season 6’s Josh Kaufman were dropped by Republic before they released full albums.
Let’s see if Republic can make Adam Levine eat his words by not only releasing a winner’s album, but promoting it on radio and beyond.
Check out what the official NBC press release has to say about Sawyer. The language is a little vague, but I believe the release is referring to The Voice only when it outlines how Sawyer broke iTunes chart records.
As a member of Team Pharrell on the musical competition series, Sawyer not only won season eight but also set a record for the first artist to have 14 songs in the iTunes Top 200 singles chart in one week.
Upon his debut on The Voice, he quickly enchanted audiences everywhere.
Also on the Nov. 11 telecast, the top 12 remaining artists will be announced, with all of them moving on to the live performance shows that begin Monday, Nov. 16 (8-10 p.m.).
The Top 20 perform for your votes on Monday November 9 and Tuesday November 10.

SAWYER FREDERICKS RELEASES HIS POST-VOICE EP, WITH AN ASSIST FROM MIA Z
November 11, 2015 By Mark FranklinSqueezed between lots of fine performances Tuesday night on The Voice was a big surprise.
Not only will Season 8 champ Sawyer Fredericks be performing a new single on The Voice during Wednesday’s performance show, he’ll be releasing an EP.
Well, that EP hit iTunes at midnight. It consists of four tracks, including the catchy, mid-tempo “Take It All.”
That’s the song he’ll be performing on The Voice.
Here’s another surprise: One of the tracks on the EP feature vocals by fellow Season 8 teen Mia Z.
And they sound fabulous together on a folksy song called “Stranger,” my favorite track on the EP.
With The Voice still in search of its first breakout star, it’s going to be very interesting to see how this does on the charts.
Everything Sawyer sang on The Voice went Top 10 in a heartbeat.
And this release is clearly timed to coincide with his appearance on the show, since new music typically hits iTunes on Fridays.
Just one hour after its release, Sawyer’s EP was already number four among singer-songwriter albums on iTunes and number 131 on the Top 200 albums chart.
By 11:30 a.m. this morning, it was sitting at number 1 on the singer-songwriter chart and number 28 on iTunes’ overall albums chart.
And “Take It All” was sitting at number 19 on the singer-songwriter singles chart.
Oh, and according to a post from Sawyer on Facebook, that photo on the EP cover is of his family’s Windrake Farm in Fultonville, N.Y. And the photo was taken by his oldest brother Skyler.
Sawyer also recently released a song called “Forever Wrong” on the Magic Strings of Frankie Presto soundtrack. That song is available on iTunes, too.

Sawyer Fredricks drops new single, EP
By Kyle Adams November 11, 2015 (The Daily Gazette)
Glen’s Sawyer Fredericks, who skyrocketed to fame after winning season eight of NBC’s The Voice in May, is releasing his first studio EP today with four original tracks.
The 16-year-old has been back and forth between his family’s farm in Glen and Los Angeles throughout the summer recording the self-titled album with Universal Music Group.
Fredericks made a special, brief appearance last night on The Voice to announce that he’d be debuting a single from the album, “Take It All” on tonight’s episode.
The EP, now available on iTunes, also includes the songs “Lovers Still Alone” and two tracks with fellow Voice contestant Mia Zanotti: “Strangers (Me & You)” and “Still Here”.
The album cover features a photo of the family farm taken by Sawyer's brother Skyler, according to the official Sawyer Fredericks Twitter account.
Fredericks is also planning to host a Twitter Q&A today to celebrate this season's The Voice playoffs.
In September, Fredericks said that while songwriting is not new to him — he’s been doing it since he was young, and released an independent album in 2013 — the fast-paced, high-powered studio process on this latest project was a big change from writing alone.
“We’re trying to write a song in three hours and when I’m writing a song, I don’t care how long it takes,” he said at the time. “And also, just working with other people is sometimes difficult because they might have different ideas for the song and I’m a very picky person. It’s just been a great learning experience doing [co-writes] and it’s been very fun.”
He said a national tour was likely to come sometime after the album release, though no further information has been released.

NEWS/ Who Made it to the Top 12 on The Voice?
Finally, we've made it! It's been a long road and a whole lot of contestants on The Voice, but we have finally reached the first week of live playoffs and, more importantly, the first round of playoff eliminations.
The ranks have now shrunk to 12, and it's a pretty respectable-looking (and sounding) 12, but along with the actual results were two special guests: Michelle Obama and last season's Voice winner Sawyer Fredericks. Totally of the same importance!
