As OneThis is a wonderful movie , a must see. Based on true events.
The divided country of Korea , Communist run North Korea and Free society South Korea, are forced politically to combine their sporting teams to join together to play in the World Games. This was a one time event and was never repeated again. I seriously enjoyed this movie and recommend it highly. It stars Ha Ji Wan from Secret Garden and Lee Jong Suk Can the elusive gold medal finally be in reach? Hyun Jung Hwa (Ha Ji Won) is South Korea’s best table tennis player. She has won numerous silver medals in world competitions but always seems to come up short against a tough rival on the Chinese team. A month before the 1991 World Table Tennis Championships in Chiba, Japan, North Korea and South Korea make the unprecedented decision to form one team for the competition, a decision that Jung Hwa and her fellow players on the South Korean team oppose. When the two teams meet up at the training camp in Chiba, the members clash in every way possible, including practice styles. The top player on the North Korean team, Lee Boon Hee (Bae Doo Na), has no patience for Jung Hwa. Can the united Korean team learn to get along long enough to compete for the gold?

Well there was a lot of really cool action but the story sort of came off the rails a bit towards the end and I never really was sure on why it all took place. He played that role very well regardless.
