1962 Sunbeam Mixer . All Stainless Steel and Chrome.
It was so shiny and brand new looking , it was also very very heavy. Had the original booklet with it. I should have bought it just for the classic art look of it. If I had a bigger kitchen it would make a really great showpiece.
Puddings setting This was so bright it would burn your eyes to look at.

I can remember that brand and style. They were so well built then. I liked when kitchens were a totally separate place , cut off from the rest of the house. Now people tend to like all that Open floor plan . I thought older houses had more character when different rooms were separated and had their own feel to each room.
When I hear on these home improvement shows , 'oh a nice open floor plan " i want to puke
I miss this thread, and posts with unknown objects we have to figure out and obsess over
I think I will go visit the thrift stores again soon . I been so busy but I need a break and going there is fun even if I don't buy anything. clapping2 Hope Mel can find something like a thrift store near her, I bet they would have some really cool old stuff. But I also think Americans throw away really good things much more than Asian culture people would , they seem more content with getting the most out of something and don't get rid of it just to get the newest style thing. We see something new style and toss away the older one even if it's still working good cuz we are wasteful pigs
