Demy to represent Greece in 2017!
The Greek artist has been selected internally
Athens, Greece - The Greek broadcaster, ERT, made a surprise announcement today regarding their participation in 2017: Greece will participate in the Eurovision Song Contest this year with the dynamic team of composer Dimitris Kontopoulos, director Fokas Evaggelinos and singer Demy!
ERT, the Hellenic Public Broadcaster, will soon reveal three songs to be performed by Demy in a special TV show, where both the TV and the web audience will be able to vote for the one that will represent Greece in the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv.
Demy, Dimitra Papadea, was born in 1991 in Athens, Greece. She is signed to Panik records and, among other accolades, she won Best New Artist in the 2012 MAD Music Awards.
Dimitris Kontopoulos and Fokas Evaggelinos were involved in the Eurovision Song Contest several times in the past, most recently in last year's Russian entry You Are The Only One, that placed third in Stockholm as performed by Sergey Lazarev.
Last year Argo represented Greece with the song Utopian Land.

Tako Gachechiladze will Keep The Faith for Georgia in 2017
Tbilisi, Georgia - Tako Gachechiladze will represent Georgia in the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Keep The Faith. The winner was decided by a combination international jury and public votes. The show was broadcast live from Tbilisi's Philharmonic Concert Hall. Keep The Faith was written by Tako herself and will be the 10th Georgian entry in the Eurovision Song Contest.
Nika Kocharov & Young Georgian Lolitaz who represented Georgia in 2016 performed their song Midnight Gold during the interval.

Georgia in the Eurovision Song Contest
Georgia made its debut in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2007 and in nine appearances the country has only failed to qualify for the Grand Final twice, in 2012 and 2014. In 2010 Sopho Nizharadze finished in 9th place with Shine, providing Georgia with its best placing in the Eurovision Song Contest. The record was equalled the following year when Eldrine also finished 9th with One More Day. Georgia has won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest a record three times, in 2008, 2011 and 2016. Last year Nika Kocharov & Young Georgian Lolitaz represented the country with the song Midnight Gold.

Naviband to sing for Belarus in 2017!
Minsk, Belarus - Naviband have been chosen to represent Belarus at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Historyja majho zyccia. The show was hosted by popular TV presenter Olga Ryzhikova and Teo who represented Belarus at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest with his song Cheesecake.
Naviband were chosen through a 50/50 combination of public and jury votes. The 11 jury members are drawn from professionals in the entertainment industry. Previous Belarusian Eurovision entrants Uzari (2015), Ivan (2016) and host Teo (2014) performed during the interval

Belarus in the Eurovision Song Contest
Belarus has participated in the the Eurovision Song Contest every year since 2004. The country achieved its best placing in 2007 with Work Your Magic performed by Dmitry Koldun which finished 6th in the Grand Final in Helsinki.
When the contest was last held in Kyiv, in 2005, the Belarusian entry, Love Me Tonight,performed by Angelica Agurbash failed to make the Grand Final despite being one of the most talked about acts that year. Whilst Belarus has yet to score a victory in this competition, the country has won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest twice, in 2005 and 2007 respectively and hosted the contest in Minsk in 2010. Last year Ivan represented Belarus with the song Help You Fly.
