I'm lookin', I'm lookin' For what I can't find Nobody telled me it'd be this hard To find the one I love To find the one I love Because of you Because of you Because of you I can't define love. One day I will look up At the sky And when I look at the stars Doesn't make me feel warm inside Makes me wanna cry. Because of you Because of you Because of you I can't define love. Put my life on the line Put my soul down the drain Put my heart on the line So it broke And you can have it. Because of you Because of you Because of you I can't define love. I'm lookin', I'm lookin' For what I can't find Nobody telled me it'd be this hard To find the one I love To find the one I love To find the one I love Because of you Because of you Because of you I can't define love.

Published on Mar 29, 2012 I feel I need to tell you a little about this song, because you can imagine how hard it is to hear your child sing a song he's written about suicidal thoughts. Sawyer and I have been following the heartbreaking stories in the news about the many teen suicides, some by gay teens, by kids who were apparently bullied. He watched me just sob during the last episode of Glee, when Karofsky attempts suicide, because I knew this fictional character was based on things that were happening in real life across our country. The next day, Sawyer was in his room playing guitar and writing this song. He is a painfully empathetic young man, and I think this song is just his way of trying to understand the emotions someone would feel at that lowest moment. He kind of taps into the emotions and becomes that person through song. So Sawyer's fine- just a very emotionally deep child musician. This was an article in Rolling Stone that really affected us both: www.rollingstone.com/politics/... Lyrics: Out My Window Looking out my window See the ground I'm falling down. This will all be over Tired of this world I'm leaving now. Looking out my window Sun is just coming down And as I'm falling And as I'm falling I turn around. Look at the life I live in And I know there's People who love me. Too many people Who don't. Looking out my window See the ground I'm falling down This will all be over One more step And it is done And as I'm falling And as I'm falling I turn around Look at the life I live in. And I know there's people Who love me Too many people who don't Looking out my window Sun is just coming down I'm coming down. I'm coming down.
