SEASON 3
S3 was loaded with good music, both used within promos and trailers as well as within the show iteslf.
Not sure if it was by design/decesion or just that the shows popularity allowed for it in their budget. I
personally think it was a design decession to do so. People would now associate particular scenes and
promos by the song used, they would search and share videos more frequently. What ever the reason it was a
good thing. There were 2 great songs used in the Season 3 'premiere' trailer and the Season 3 second half return
trailer. Once again AMC did a good job of fitting songs into scenarios.
The Season 3 Premiere Trailer gave overview of upcoming episodes
On Air Trailer, Last Man Standing: The Walking Dead
Original song is by People In Planes - "Last Man Standing" Live
Inside Look at Episode 1 of the new season The Walking Dead:
After clearing a small area outside (the prison) the group camps. Knowing they have to go inside and clear
out all the Walkers. Beth sings this song.
The Parting Glass - Ed Sheeran (live) a Irish Traditional folk song
Although not shown or heard in that video from AMC the song Noisy Sunday by Patrick Watson was used in the
episode as Rick's group quietly settled into their new found home (the prison) They had to fight hard and
remove the area of Walkers and the dead.
Noisy Sunday by Patrick Watson
Beth (Emily Kinney) sings 'Hold On' during a quiet moment inside their prison sanctuary
One of the last episode before the mid season break. The group must decide on whether to Hold On to their
new home or flee because of The Govenor threats.

At the end of S3, Merle hatches a plan to kill the Governor. He uses a car and loud music (Ted Nugent) to bring along Walkers as a diversion.
While the plan was good it all goes wrong for Merle.
