FBI releases video of fatal shooting of Oregon protester
Burns (United States) (AFP) - The FBI released a video Thursday showing Oregon state police shooting dead one of the armed protesters who took over a wildlife refuge in a three-week occupation involving ranchers angry over land management policies. This is a shortened and edited version of FBI footage showing the joint FBI and Oregon State Police traffic stop and OSP officer-involved shooting of Robert “LaVoy” Finicum on the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge. This condensed clip was shown at an FBI press conference in Burns, Oregon on 01/28/2016.

Yeh it was crazy. I don't even know what the whole protest was about, but certainly nothing worth dying over. The protesters (some of them) made such mistakes and clearly were agitating things. They brought firearms and openly showed them. When they were asked to pull over they took off and also tried running thru the roadblock, as you can see. And then to make matters worse, when the guy was surrounded and asked to keep his hands up he kept reaching to his belt area/ pockets. Huge mistake. Those FBI guys are highly trained for situations and split second reactions, they don't take anything else really into consideration. bad bad move on his part and he paid for it with his life.

yeah, you're right, nothing to die over I'm sure. When you know you're caught just give up. I had never heard about the protest before
