Will Sawyer Fredericks Be On 'The Voice' Season 9? Winners Have Returned Before

At the young age of just 16, Sawyer Fredericks managed become the youngest winner in The Voice's history, and he also won America over with his soulful voice and adorable face. After being invited by talent scouts to audition for the show based on his amazing YouTube performances, he sang a deep, soulful rendition an old folk song. Within seconds, he had all four of the judges turned around and basically salivating at his feet. Sawyer chose to take his journey with Pharrell Williams, which was a surprising choice (Pharrell was the newbie coach), but it paid off big time. So, now that the show is back on, fans are wondering whether Sawyer Fredericks will be on Season 9 of The Voice, if only just to charm us with his talent one last time.
During his impressive run on season 8 of The Voice, Sawyer acquired a legion of fans (#TeamSawyer) who loved his shy persona and amazing talent (not to mention, he has great hair). So, its not surprising that people want to see him on the stage again. Unfortunately so far there's no official word from The Voice execs or from extensive stalking of Sawyer's Twitter account (it's like a unicorn mixed with a rainbow in there, he's so happy and adorable all the time) on whether he'll be back. But, if past seasons of the show can be counted as evidence, it's safe to say that we may see those majestic tresses on The Voice stage again this season. Here's a look back on the pattern of previous seasons' winners coming back to perform the following season. Take from it what you will (aka he's totally coming back).

I probably seem like the super odd one out and we have nothing in common.” The singer-rapper-producer, however, went on to point out that he won last season with Sawyer Fredericks, all because the teen taught him, and not the other way around.

I can't even imagine being The Voice winner Sawyer Fredericks. He went from a being a normal 16-year-old kid to being mentored by Pharrell Williams and eventually winning the competition on Season 8 of The Voice. That has to be such big change. Fredericks went from being a high school student to getting songs on the iTunes chart. How does he deal with that? Has he gone all Hollywood now that he's had a taste of fame? Not quite. It turns out that the teen is actually a pretty normal guy. If you check out his Instagram, you will see that Fredericks is still your typical teenage boy, minus that whole thing about being a well-known singer. A scroll through his photos will show you that he's all about keeping it real and hasn't let his singing career go to his head. He is definitely someone who his fans can relate to and he tries his best to be grounded even with his recent success and attention. Fredericks is just a normal teen who loves hanging out with friends, making Pic Stitches, showing off his pets, taking selfies, posting throwback photos, and just getting silly from time to time. Here are a few of his pics that prove just that.
Where Can You See Sawyer Fredericks Perform? 'The Voice' Winner Has Been Singing Up A Storm On Every Stage

The Voice Season 9 has kicked off with a whole new roster of talented singers vying to be crowned champion. Season 8 winner Sawyer Fredericks is no longer on the show (obviously), but he's still been keeping pretty busy with his music career. So where can you see Sawyer Fredericks perform? The upstate New York native has two major events coming up, which also happen to include two Voice Season 8 alumna, so you don't want to miss out.
He'll be performing with Mia Z at New York City's Mercury Lounge on Sept. 30 and with Meghan Linsey at Nashville's City Winery on Oct. 12. Fredericks also announced on his official website that he'll make his first trip to Oklahoma for a set at the Oklahoma State Fair in Tulsa on Oct. 1.
According to Fredericks' social media accounts, he's been splitting time working on his album in Los Angeles, tending to his family's beloved farm in Upstate New York, and singing all summer in his home region at various concerts and state fairs. While he was competing on The Voice this past spring, Fredericks said that he appreciated the love of his hometown of Fultonville. "I've had great support from my hometown, even before the show," he told Bustle after he had won The Voice back in May. "I'm really happy to have their support through this experience."
It's been a busy summer for Fredericks. Here's where he's been singing throughout the past few months.

There is a reason that 16-year-old Sawyer Fredericks became the youngest contestant in history to win The Voice, and it's not just because he looks like 1997 Taylor Hanson and rocks a serious James Bay/Ray Lamontagne vibe. Sawyer Fredericks has an insane voice, the kind that speaks to your soul and lures you in immediately, straight from that opening note. I mean, when four of the music industry's biggest names — that would be Pharrell, Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton, and Adam Levine — all want you on their team, that's when you know you have some crazy talent. Not that the kid necessarily needed their approval to know that he's got one hell of a voice, but it obviously kicks things up a notch. Seriously, Fredericks has some soulful pipes on him. The talent is unreal.
And for The Voice fans who want nothing more than to fill their days with everything Sawyer Fredericks, look no further than 13 of his best videos below. Though pretty much every recording of Fredericks singing anything is a "best of" video (have I mentioned that the kid can sing?), the below vids are really the cream of the crop. There's a ton of Ray LaMontagne covers (Fredericks freaking shines on the Ray LaMontagne covers) as well as versions of Elvis and the Goo Goo Dolls and his audition and his original music and literally everything you could ever want. Happy listening!

It's one physical attribute you can't miss. I mean, in addition to being super long, it also has a really nice shine to it. What kind of product do you think he uses? Do you think he goes the cheap route? Or, do you think the 16-year-old singer sets aside money to use the most expensive and effective hair products? There's also a good chance he goes to a salon and leaves his million dollar hair to the professionals. Whatever the case, Fredericks' hair is making a name for itself. And, you know, he isn't the only singer known for his hair. There are plenty of other singers who rock crazy long hair, too.
