www.gofundme.com/lone-raven-animal-rescueAs far back as I can remember I have taken in injured animals and nursed them back to health. As a small child, I would twist my toes in the squishy mud, run through the shady grass, feel fresh sunbeams on my face! I loved the outdoors and was fascinated by the birds and bugs and all of the living things that mother earth offered.
I was always catching butterflies, caterpillars, lizards, ladybugs, frogs and horny toads. Soon I was rescuing baby sparrows and pigeons and by the time I was seven, my bedroom had become such a homemade zoo that neither mom nor my sisters dared to even come in my room to put my laundry away.
I had a white rat named Gilbert, 3 hamsters, two aquariums of fish, a chicken named Dickens, terrariums of bugs, lizards, various wild birds, parakeets, a chameleon, pet seahorses, an ant farm, turtles and probably other creatures that I just can't recall.
I had about twenty pigeons that I had taught to fly away in the morning and at night I would call to them, collect them all up and take them back to my room and put them to bed. Mother would remark in later years that I took full responsibility for the care and upkeep of my tiny friends except for the necessary help from my dad with the heavy glass aquariums. Mother Nature enchanted me and I could never get its' fill.

Hi ister, okies will try that when able. THANK YOU!!
I actually spent the 1st four years of my life in the hospital. I was not allowed to play outside until I was four years old. When I was finally allowed outside, it was MAJIKAL to me! I think that that may have something to do with my zeal for nature and animals.

About SweetiePie... she has never been able to walk. I got her when she was a few weeks old. Now she is about 12 years old. She has been in diapers the entire time. People say how lucky she is to have me, they are wrong. I AM THE LUCKY ONE. She is my inspiration and I love her dearly.

Hi ister, just NOW seeing your post. I wanted to watch the concert but you would not believe the chaos on my farm now. I do not see any let up in the immediate future... I am without any farm help these days and in excruciating pain trying to get through the farm chores. M.R.I.s' reveal that everything under both of my knee caps is shredded, I am not supposed to walk at all, I am out of the hospital against medical advice as I have no one to tend the animals here. Yadda, yadda, blah, blah, blah lol THE VIDEO BELOW IS MY BEAUTIFUL Sweetie Pie DOING HER 'LEG KICKS'. I taught her to do her 'Leg Kicks' as a baby puppy, hoping that it would make her strong enough to walk someday. She never did walk, but it did give her good exercise and she has fun doing them.
